Just returned home from a fun week in AZ... We were able to spend time in PV where we stayed the evening with Brent and Kathy Motierth. We were able to see Pam and her family and Brendon and his little family as well. We also had the fun surprise of seeing Reed and Beck Cooley who came over and shared dinner with us. Brent and Kathy were so hospitable. The next day we ate lunch with Alice and Dave and had a good visit with them. Of course we had a lot of work to do besides but the visits made it really fun and memorable. When we got to gilbert we shared a wonderful meal with Mark and Gretchen, saw my sister Wanda and her friend Bernie, enjoyed lunch with Gary and Corrine, and of course had wonderful time staying with Audrey and Andy and our little grand daughter Lauren. It was a great trip and we got a lot done besides.

Seth and I have built a few homes in our life. Our first was in Snowflake, then two in Prescott Valley, and now we're here in Utah where we have renovated a couple more. Our house in PV was the biggest we had built for ourselves and it had a walk out basement. For some reason we have always felt like the next house would be our last one and so we built it to be the place we would live till we died. When we recently spent a night with Kathy and Brent in our home in Prescott Valley, it really tugged at my heart-strings. The trees have all grown so tall and the backyard is perfect now for just relaxing and enjoying family. The garden boxes that Seth built with pecky cedar are a'brim with vegetables and everything just looked wonderful and homey. So many memories there. I couldn't help but feel nostalgic and a bit wishful that I could just turn back the time and slip right back into our home as though I could turn the clock back. That isn't possible so we just move on and look for the next adventure. I think I'm getting too old for starting over.

I can't believe it's already been a year and Lauren is now 1 years old. She reminds me so much of her mother at that age. Audrey invited mainly family and just a few friends to celebrate her first birthday. She picked a fairy theme and so the little cousins all came in fairy outfits. It was a fun little party. Lauren just smiled and acted happy. She really responded to a few of her gifts. It was a happy time to share with her. Seth and I enjoyed our time with them.

Here she is in her cute little fairy outfit...
I have some wonderful friends that help me keep my life "upbeat". How grateful I am for all of them... just thought I'd share a special quote from Dorothy.

"Don't worry about searching for who you are; focus
your energies on creating the kind of person you want to be!
You will discover that as you pursue that journey you will not
only find yourself, but chances are you will be pleasantly
surprised and proud of the person you find along the way"
